Our Focus

Thinking Chair uses a human-centered design process to create floorplans around how you live. We seek harmony between your family’s natural flows, sound functional design and your personal priorities (budget, time, etc.).

A successful home renovation project starts with having a thoughtful design plan. We specialize in creating the optimal layout for your kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and entire homes! Our experience spans historic gut-remodels, 400K+ square feet of commercial remodels, and partnering with the nations top architects. We’ve even had our work featured on HGTV!

Our Process: Floorplans in under 2-Weeks

We’ve created a streamlined process that is both highly detailed, yet efficient with your time and budget. We’ll ask for less than 5-hours of your time, and deliver three rounds of designs.

1. Exploratory Call (15-min)

2. Design Discussion, Walkthrough & Measurements (2-hours)

3. Design Review: Round One (1-hour)

4. Design Review: Round Two (1-hour)

5. Design Review: Final (30-mins)

Pricing: $4 per Square Foot

We aim for our floorplan process to be approachable for everyone’s budget. We’ve also been on your side of the table and paid $15,000 for plans that ended up in the trash, an experience that inspired us to do what we do today!

Here are some example room sizes to give you a sense of our floorplan pricing:

Kitchen (200 SF) = $800
Laundry Room (120 SF) = $480
Bathroom (80 SF) = $320

note: if you want more than our standard three rounds of design, each additional round is just $125!
